The Fashion department at Kwantlen is bringing Julian Roberts to Vancouver for his Subtraction Cutting Tour! Prepare to be inspired as you learn about a new way to think about pattern making. Friday, June 18th: Evening Lecture and Reception: A presentation by Julian Roberts, inventor of the garment pattern cutting method called ‘Subtraction Cutting’. His approach to garment pattern making incorporates chance discovery, distance, gods-eye views, and the ability to cut fast & inaccurately without too much reference to numbers, fractions or mathematics.
Saturday, June 19th: All Day Master Class:
Learn about his alternative method to drafting patterns in an Evening Seminar and/or All Day Master Class.
